A glimpse into the background of our speaker
Timi Olanrewaju
Timi Olanrewaju is an economic justice advocate and Founder/Executive Director of Lead Africa International e.V. Since 2017, he has dedicated his career to influencing policies on emerging issues affecting Africa and its relations in the international system, including advocacy on EU-Africa relations.
He initiated the Global Partnership for Africa’s Development (G-PAD) Forum which has inspired better engagement of the African diaspora in the programme of the EU Emergency Trust Fund for Africa and mobilized major stakeholders to contribute to the further development of the new Africa Policy Guidelines adopted by German Federal Government in 2019.
Timi coordinated an investment policy dialogue between Baden-Württemberg region and three African countries, attracting an award of recognition from the Foundation for Development Cooperation of Baden-Württemberg.
‘Timi has attended numerous leadership courses with certifications from leading institutions around the world, including Daystar Leadership Academy in Lagos, Nigeria; the Certified National Trainer from JCI, Missouri USA; Certificate in Cultural Diplomacy at the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, Germany; Certificate on African Union and Cultural Diplomacy from the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy in London, UK.
