The G-PAD Forum is an international platform created by Lead Africa International to promote shared knowledge of development policies that impact Africans and people of African descent and facilitate effective global partnerships towards achieving sustainable development in Africa. G-PAD focuses on promoting strategies on mutually beneficial cooperation, self-sufficiency and reducing aid dependency. The Forum is aligned with Goal 17 of the SDGs which seeks to strengthen global partnerships to support and achieve the targets of the 2030 Agenda by bringing together national governments, the international community, civil society, the private sector and other actors.
Focus of the 2021 G-PAD Forum: The state of Baden-Württemberg is Germany’s number one export state. International trade is the key driver of Baden-Württemberg’s economy with one in every three jobs depending on the export market. However, trade and investment as a vehicle for development cannot be pursued in isolation without partnering in addressing further prerequisites for growth such as health care, education, and training. We would address these challenges and opportunities at the 2021 G-PAD Forum, a platform where civil society actors and experts can convene, address development issues, network, and collaborate to enhance the cooperation between Baden-Württemberg and African regions.
